Japanese Alphabets.

Japanese has three characters;

1. KANJI
   Chinese origin ideograph. Some means and pronunciations are in one kanji.

   EX.
   KANJI	meaning	pronunciation
   	truth honesty	"sei" "makoto"

    

2. KATAKANA
   A Phonogram. Used mainly for words and names of foreign origin. ( table )
   

   EX.
   Katakana	mean	pronunciation
   	Guitar	"gi-tar"

   note: Japanese is usually written vertically(from top to bottom).
3. HIRAGANA
   A Phonogram. Used mainly for proper japanese language. ( table )
   

   EX.
   Hiragana	mean	pronunciation
   	Good morning	"ohayo"

     

Japanese sentence is a combination of three letters.

"watasi wa gita wo hikimasu"
"I play guitar."
