In Japan, Yasumi MIYAZAWA is known as a person of Japanese traditional culture. Japanese calligrapher is his one aspect. He is also writer and musician. He released some books about Japanese sweets and Buddha statue.
And, as a Japanese traditional musician, he sings "KOUTA"(Ko-Uta) and plays shamisen(Japanese guitar) on some theatre and lounge etc.
Yasumi is in activity on the media, publishing, broadcasting, and live stage, to rediscover a value of the Japanese culture


BIO (mainly Japanese calligraphy)

At age 7, started Japanese calligraphy.

Winner of the YOKOHAMA JAPANESE CALLIGRAPHIC ORGANAIZATION competition.

After that, He began to interested in Music, and played jazz and rock music until 1998.

1999
He restarted calligraphy. The works are influenced by rock and electronica music, drawing not only Japanese but also English and French language.

This web site started. and He has taken many orders from people from all around the world.

Yasumi got shamisen(Japanese guitar) for the first time instead of electric guitar.

2002

Became a disciple of Ko-Uta(Japanese simple traditional music) master.
